NCBI LEICESTERSHIRE IS TAKING A NEW DIRECTION

NCBI's work in Leicester continues to grow and flourish. We go from strength to strength. The organisation is taking a new direction under the leadership of Kalav Mistry.

NCBI's ethos is ‘One For All And All For One' continues.  The work on racism is going to be central in Leicester. At the same time, we will not compromise from challenging other forms of oppression and we are building teams who can take a firm stand on Islamophobia, anti Semitism, homophobia, sexism, disability discrimination and young people's oppression and build bridges across difference.

Skilled trainers, certified by NCBI will deliver our award winning Welcoming Diversity and Prejudice Reduction workshops; NCBI Controversial Issues programme; NCBI Training of Trainers, NCBI Leadership Programme and NCBI anti bullying programmes to communities and organisations across the Midlands.

NCBI deliver a wide range of training programmes to voluntary sector, public sector, corporates and individuals. Our training programmes are unique and yet flexible enough to be bespoke to meet the specific requirements of organisations.

Our aims and objectives are:

"To advance the education of the public by training them to recognise and acknowledge factors which give rise to prejudice and discrimination by reason of race, gender, class, sexuality, physical ability, age, ethnicity, nationality, religion, life circumstances, mental, social economic and educational background or any other factor.  The company shall effect its objectives by using all appropriate methods available including but not limited to: -

• Training individuals and groups in learning effective leadership skills and strategies needed to resolve and eliminate prejudice and discrimination in all its forms and to welcome diversity and resolve conflict;
• Developing teams within communities and organisations to equip individuals in bridge building skills to effectively deal with prejudice and discrimination and to take on and tackle inter group conflicts;
• To develop ongoing leadership skills to initiate programmes within organisations and communities, to build bridges between people of difference to take on develop and foster respect for all communities of people from diverse backgrounds;
• To work across communities with key partners and stakeholders wherever possible to bring an end to prejudice and discrimination."
