Parenting Young People
We are constantly reminded that the collective growth of young people is being hindered by the advent of electronic devices, social media, the rise of polarised politics, and financial uncertainty. Communication and collaboration between families, schools and communities with our young people is paramount in the support of their futures.
Building young people’s resilience
The purpose behind this workshop, is to strengthen parenting skills by assisting parents to understand their leadership roles.
We focus on parents’ supporting roles, as it enables them to support their young people to view themselves in a more positive light. The aim is to demonstrate how they can influence their child’s self-esteem, aspirations and sense of personal power. This will improve their self image, resilience and capability to manage the transition to adulthood.
